200 hour yoga teacher training with Midtown Yoga in Memphis and certified through Yoga Alliance
Zach discovered the transformative power of yoga in 2007 as he sought a way to balance the physical and emotional strains of his first year as a middle school teacher. The practice's focus on controlled breathing brought him much-needed calmness, while the physical movements resonated with his background in dance, leading to an immediate and profound connection with yoga.
In 2017, Zach deepened his commitment to yoga by completing a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Midtown Yoga in Memphis, Tennessee. As a former dancer, Zach uniquely blends the fluidity of dance with the discipline of yoga, infusing his classes with a sense of zest and playfulness. He emphasizes the synchronization of movement and breath, creating a dynamic and engaging yoga experience that caters to both beginners and seasoned practitioners alike.
Zach is particularly passionate about restorative yoga, a practice that complements his active teaching style with deep relaxation and healing techniques. He often practices with his legs up against the wall, a position that epitomizes his approach to rest and recovery. This passion for restorative techniques not only enhances his own practice but also enriches the experiences of his students, providing them with a well-rounded approach to yoga that prioritizes both energy and ease.
